    • So sorry to hear the news Kathy. I will remember my visit to your place. I still have some of the wood Merlin gave me. I’ll use it for a project and remember him.

  1. Well Merlin almost seems more like an older brother to me than a cousin. Aunt Edna, Merlin and David were just so much a part of our family growing up, so many good memories. I always looked up to Merlin, and thought He was very cool, I remember a few of the cars and boats he had. I especially remember the hard top convertible car he had.
But more importantly I remember his wonderful smile, infectious laugh, and warm spirit. And how he enjoyed a good cup of coffee. He always made you feel good and would do what it took to make sure you had a good time when you were with him. Like the time a short time ago when cousin Merna was here visiting we had a get together at Merlin’s and he fired up the 1960 (something) VW bus and took us Oswald hippie cousins on a ride we joked we were heading to Woodstock. Merlin and David took the time and effort to come to our son Joni’s wedding Sept. 26, 2015, I have wonderful memories of him laughing and having a good time with the other guests. I will miss you cuz——

  2. We are so thankful Merlin and Kathy made it to Iowa a year ago last SEPT.
We went to BRANSON, MO together and saw several good shows, ate lots of good food.

Then we headed back, swapped a few lies, and got picked up for speeding in Polo, MO. Pop. About 20.

Another good memory was in Oregon when Merlin, David and I went down to Depot Bay, got a pizza and some oysters in the shell. We were “The Three Dudes” in David’s fancy Mustang convertible! Yee Haw!

We loved him like a brother and will sure miss our friend and cousin, Merlin.
